Weekly Training Sessions

Robert Gordon’s School Swimming Pool – A weekly pool session is held from September to April at Robert Gordon’s School (during term time, check our Club Calender for up to date details) on Wednesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm. The sessions are mainly for beginners and intermediates, including learning to roll. The charge is


  • £3.00 – for members and
  • £6.00 – for ‘Taster sessions’ (up to 4 then membership expected).

Club equipment is provided. A warmer medium in which to learn to roll and gain confidence in a canoe. Feel free to come along, all you need to bring is your swimming costume.

Please enter the School via the main entrance on Schoolhill, Aberdeen. There is limited parking within the school ground (please obey any instructions from the man at the gate). Once inside the grounds go round the building to the left and you will find the pool which is located in an outer building.

Seaton Park Training Site – A weekly session is held at Seaton Park each Thursday night from 6:00pm until dark during the summer months (approximatly April – September, check our Club Calender for more details). The club has an equipment store here and equipment is available at a nominal charge to assist with maintenance and upkeep.

  • £10.00 – for ‘Taster sessions’ as above
  • £5.00 – for members using Club equipment
  • £0.00 – members using their own equipment

Subject to time and weather, trips may occasionally be arranged on Thursday evenings to the Beach, the lower River Don or the River Dee.

If you want to come along take a waterproof jacket, clothes that you don’t mind getting wet, old trainers or water shoes and a wet suit if you have. Also take along a change of clothes and a towel.

Enter Seaton Park via Don Street, there is a car park next to the children play area, then follow the road towards the left and we meet up at the blue containers.
